Who is this Guy?

At times, you have to wonder about the intentions of one Senator Arlen Specter. The so called Republican from Pennsylvania is now calling for a delay in the nomination of Justice O'Connor's replacement. His visionary reasoning is so the Senate can "get to know John Roberts a little better" in order to "make the next nomination easier." Who does this guy think he is at times? Did he, like other Republicans at times, forget that WE WON! Does he not realize that the American people have spoken loud and clear for over 10 years now? The people in this country expect a Supreme Court that models the people they elect to office! Thankfully, at least senators like Bill Frist are standing up for that fact. Sooner or later, though, senators like Arlen Specter, who are more worried about their reputation in the Washington Post than the interests of the people they represent, will one day feel the backlash of the voters. Just ask Senator Tom Das....what was his name again?
