Never Give Up!!

You have to hand it to the slanted sports media...they're persistent. Although Danica Patrick has ceased to be relevant since the Indy 500, ESPN and other social agenda driven sports writers are still managing to keep her on the front page of racing news. If you look at the article below, you can almost feel the writer's desperation that Danica win this weekend's race, or at least, not embarrass herself as she has in the last few months. Now before I get attacked by women and Libs for being sexist and against Title IX, let me be sure to point out that I'm not against women's sports. Where I have a problem with women's sports is when ESPN and others push social projects on fans who could care less (Danica Patrick, WNBA, Michele Wie, etc). If these gimmicks can survive on market demand, then so be it. But as is usually the case with these "projects," fans are not buying it. No one is watching Indy Racing this year, just like last year and the year before that. The WNBA continues to be bailed out by the NBA every year. My high school football team averaged better attendance than last year's championship team! Michele Wie is very talented, but fans would rather see her win women's tournaments than miss cuts in PGA Tour events.

So as you can see, I'm quite annoyed over the above situations. This will not be the last time I comment on such social experiments.

Story on Danica Patrick

Interesting article about the WNBA by Bill Simmons (I wish more writers had guts like this)
